TSU's regents fire President Priscilla Slade


Where do I start on this little bit of greed and self denial.

First Priscilla Slade spent over $650,000 on

They reached the decision after an internal audit determined she spent about $650,000 of TSU's money over a seven-year period on personal purchases not allowed under her contract.

This is while she is President of a school and making $340,000 a year. Next she claims that she intended to pay for all of these purchases herself and that it was simpy an error on her part for billing the University. And finally she is now sueing the University for breach of contract.

Here is a perfect example of the problems we have in this world, and for it to rear it's ugly head in the world of the educrats, is poetic justice. All of the liberal left will be yelling that this is a racially motivated termination, or that she was not given a chance to correct the mistake. Well my response to that is $5,000 or $10,000 may have been a mistake but $650,000 is fraud and if the District Attorney does press charges, she should go away just like Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling are going.

My second Texas Commons Sence Bravo goes to the Regents of TSU for doing the right thing.
